Evidence-backed self knowledge

Inner Quest → Connect → Strengths in practice → My Reflections

Ask what Inner Quest knows. Turn evidence into practice.

Inner Quest MCP is valuable because it can retrieve the context that makes help personal, not because it can perform generic CRUD. This walkthrough connects securely, finds an official CliftonStrengths result with provenance, shows how the app turns those themes into testable practices, then creates one private reflection through MCP and finds the exact record in My Reflections.

Live-walked in the authenticated owner app and through the production Inner Quest MCP connector. One clearly labelled private reflection was created for proof, independently read back, captured in My Reflections, and removed after verification.

Connection begins inside the private Personal OS

Opened Inner Quest Connect and expanded the developer setup.

The default path is install, connect and approve through OAuth. Inner Quest keeps refresh and disconnect controls in the product, while advanced endpoints remain available for other clients without making copied secrets the normal experience.

The agent can retrieve an operating pattern, not just a profile card

Queried the authenticated Personal OS for the owner profile and official CliftonStrengths evidence.

The MCP response identified Arranger, Belief, Strategic, Achiever and Learner. The live app turns those themes into an operating pattern: coordinate moving parts around a meaningful outcome, then test that hypothesis against lived evidence instead of treating a personality label as destiny.

    Provenance keeps self knowledge honest

Inspected the ranked themes and their source before using them.

Inner Quest identifies this as the Gallup assessment completed on September 7, 2026, covering all 34 themes via a user-confirmed transcription. That source is kept distinct from an earlier partial archive, so an agent can tell official evidence from supporting notes.

Inner Quest turns assessment labels into hypotheses to test

Opened the generated strength combinations in the authenticated app.

The product explicitly labels these as Inner Quest hypotheses, not claims copied from the assessment. Arranger plus Strategic becomes a question about coordinating change; Belief plus Achiever becomes a check that effort is producing a meaningful outcome.

Insight becomes a private practice, not a static report

Opened the guided experiment that asks what to rearrange, who must agree and how to learn from the result.

The form can save a private reflection and optionally create a linked Action Item. This is the bridge from personality evidence to a decision, an experiment and a feedback loop inside the same Personal OS.

A private MCP reflection appears in the real app

Created one clearly labelled private reflection through the authenticated MCP connector, read it back three ways, then filtered My Reflections to the exact title.

The prompt, practice and five supporting strengths arrive intact in My Reflections. The exact search filter excludes unrelated private records from the capture, and the synthetic proof record was removed after the walkthrough was verified.

What this feature does

  • In-app OAuth connection guidance
  • Official assessment evidence with provenance
  • Strength combinations framed as testable hypotheses
  • Authenticated private reflection write
  • Exact MCP read-back and visible app result

Worth knowing

  • Only official strengths evidence and the synthetic proof reflection appear in these captures; unrelated private Personal OS records are excluded.
