Breathwork, from entry to detail

The Breathwork tool is your personal breathing coach, offering guided breathing exercises right in your browser. It features a beautiful animated visual guide that expands and contracts to help you match your breath to the rhythm. Whether you're looking to calm anxiety, improve focus, or just take a mindful pause in your day, there's a breathing pattern here for you.

The tool comes with 8 breathwork patterns (like Box Breathing, 4-7-8, and Alternate Nostril) plus 8 nervous system exercises (like Horse Stance and Cat-Cow Breathing). Each session can be timed from 1 to 8 minutes, and your practice history is tracked so you can build a consistent habit.

Imported from Inner Quest's app-owned walkthrough library. The captures are real product evidence, but their original run manifest and detailed interaction log predate Walkthrough Studio, so freshness is not claimed.

Landing Page — Choose Your Practice

    Opened /breathe.

When you open the Breathwork tool, you'll see the main breathing interface. At the center is a large animated circle with the current breathing pattern name (defaulting to Box Breathing). Below it, you can select your session duration — 2, 4, 6, or 8 minutes. The "Start Practice" button kicks off your session.

At the bottom, you'll find quick links to your History, Progress stats, a Learn section with breathing science, and custom Sequences you can create.

    Choose a Breathing Pattern

Advanced to the next state preserved by the app-owned walkthrough.

Tap "Change" to open the pattern selector. You'll see two categories:

    • Breathwork — 8 classic breathing techniques including Simple Breath Awareness, Box Breathing, 4-7-8 Breathing, Diaphragmatic Breathing, Resonant Breathing, Alternate Nostril, Pursed-Lip, and Humming Bee Breath (Brahmari). Each shows the estimated session time.

    • Nervous System — 8 body-based exercises like Horse Stance, Standing Meditation (Zhan Zhuang), Cat-Cow Breathing, and Warrior Breath. These include posture descriptions to help you get into the right position.

The currently selected pattern is highlighted with a checkmark.

    Read the Instructions

Advanced to the next state preserved by the app-owned walkthrough.

Before starting, you can tap "Instructions" to see step-by-step guidance for your chosen breathing pattern. For Box Breathing, the instructions walk you through the posture (sit upright, feet flat), preparation (close eyes, exhale fully), and the four-phase cycle: inhale for 4 counts, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold empty for 4.

This is especially helpful when trying a new pattern for the first time.

    Active Breathing Session

Advanced to the next state preserved by the app-owned walkthrough.

Once you hit "Start Practice," the screen transforms into an immersive, full-screen breathing guide. The background goes dark to minimize distractions, and a large animated shape (matching the breathing pattern — a square for Box Breathing) pulses to guide your breath.

The current phase is displayed in the center (Inhale, Hold, Exhale, or Hold) with a countdown number. A timer at the bottom shows remaining session time. You can Pause or Reset at any time, and there are buttons in the bottom-right to change the visual theme or toggle ambient sound.

Press ESC or the X button to end the session early.
